1. To insert today’s date into the text, start typing @today and press Enter / select from the pop-up list with the mouse
2. To insert the current time into the text, type @now
3. You can further click on the result and set the date and time format
4. @today and @now can be used in any text block and in page titles

@now and @today in the template button

Putting @now and @today in a template button gives you a handy tool for logging your activity. When you click on the button, you will instantly get the current date or time.

1. Create a Template button.
2. Click on the To-do list and press Backspace once (it should say Type / for commands.
3. If you accidentally pressed Backspace 2 times and saw the inscription Empty. Drop blocks here…, then drag an empty block there.
4. Type @now or @today and select Time when duplicate or Date when duplicate from the menu that appears.
5. Change the name of the button to something like Add curret time or Add current date. Close the button.
6. Important. If you want to first write @now / @today outside of the button and then drag it inside, that doesn’t work. So you just get the date at the time of writing
7. In order for the time to be created below the button when the button is clicked, there must be any block under the button. Even empty — so just click once under the button.
8. You can also put another structure inside the button, such as a simple table, and type @now or @today in it.

How to move your content layout in Notion?

1. Add a divider to separate content that doesn’t need to be moved
2. Add an empty block above the content that needs to be moved
3. Transform this empty block into Toggle Heading 1. This pushes the content up to the divider into the empty toggle heading. The layout is preserved
4. Move this heading to where you want to place your layout
5. Transform the heading into text
6. Delete the empty block above the layout

There are two ways to specify colors:

1. as predefined LaTeX colors like BlueViolet (see color chart here: https://en.wikibooks.org/wiki/LaTeX/Colors),
2. specifying their Hex-codes, like #DFE612 (you can choose a color, for example, here: https://www.google.com/search?q=color+picker)

How to add colors?

1. Add an Inline equation block or select text or part of it and turn it into an equation.
2. Enclose the text in curly braces. The spaces in the text will disappear.
3. Add \colorbox{White} before the text. This will make the words separate again.
4. To change the font color, for example, to the predefined BlueViolet, write color{BlueViolet} before the text.
5. Let’s change the background color to #DFE612. Go to \colorbox, delete White and paste DFE612 instead.
6. In the end, do not forget to click on Done; otherwise, the changes will not be saved.
7. Because you are working with an equation, the font has changed.
8. Color names can be processed incorrectly, so it’s better to use Hex encoding.

How to wrap lines?

1. For clarity of the code, you can transfer commands to different lines, and this will not affect the appearance of your text. To move the code, press Shift + Enter
